PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adapter of a tool for a ring nut capable of attaching/detaching the ring nut having various kinds of outline by utilizing the tools such as the existing spanners or the like. SOLUTION: The adapter has: a stabilizing member 12 mounted to the one end side in the longitudinal direction of a rod-like body 11; and a hook claw 11a which has the section of the body formed to be a rectangular shape and is engaged in a hook groove of the ring nut at the side surface of one side of the body. The stabilizing member has a projection part 12b projecting to the same side as the hook claw of the body, and the projection part has an inclined surface 12b1 abutting to the ring nut. The body and the ring nut are held by the tool such as the spanner, and the tool is turned to rotate the ring nut in a state where the hook claw of the body is engaged in the hook groove of the ring nut, and the side surface of one side of the body and the inclined surface of the stabilizing member is abutted to the outer peripheral surface of the ring nut.
