PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a belt member to stably run to improve image quality. SOLUTION: A belt unit includes a first roller, a second roller, the belt member, and a holding member holding the first and second rollers. The holding member has an extending part which is formed integrally with the holding member and is extended from the holding member to the vicinity of an inner peripheral surface of the belt member. Since the extending part is extended to the vicinity of the inner peripheral surface of the belt member, foreign matter cannot be caught between the first and second rollers and the belt member. Consequently, not only the reduction of a frictional force between the first and second rollers and the belt member can be prevented but also foreign matter is not melt-fixed to the first and second rollers.
