A proposed invention relates to a method for the manufacture of a polyester composition, to compositions produced therefrom, to films, to solutions for manufacturing polyester compositions, and a method for the manufacture of solutions. A method for the manufacture of a polyester comprises the following stages: A) Esterification of a dicarboxylic acid with an alkanediol or inter-esterification of a dicarboxy acid ester with an alkanediol; B) Pre-polycondensation of the resulting dicarboxylic acid dialkylester to pre-polycondensates; C) Melt polycondensation of the pre-polymercondensate to polyester, wherein the mixture subjected to polycondensation comprises at least one pre-polymercondensate and also at least one alkali- and/or alkaline-earth metal salt and at least one phosphonic acid ester, wherein the alkali- and/or alkaline-earth metal salt and phosphonic acid ester are added to the pre-polymercondensate as a solution manufactured by dissolving in water of at least one alkali- and/or alkaline-earth metal salt, after which at least one organic solvent is added thereto followed by adding at least one composition which contains at least one phosphonic acid ester of the Formula (I)where each R independently is a group with 1 to 60 carbon atoms and R' is a binding group with 1 to 20 carbon atoms and which includes at least one organic solvent. |
