PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for an induction heating device that can maintain high output power and prevent damage of an apparatus even when variation occurs in the intrinsic resistance of a heating target member.SOLUTION: In a control method for an induction heating device 10 having power conversion means 12 containing a forward converter 16, an inverse converter 18 and a controller 28, a heating coil 26 being connected to the inverse converter 18, the power conversion means 12 outputs a signal for controlling a forward conversion phase control angle to the forward converter 16 so that an output voltage to the heating coil 26 is coincident with a predetermined instruction voltage. When the forward conversion phase control angle is smaller than a predetermined value, the power conversion means 12 outputs, to the inverse converter 18, a signal for increasing an inverse conversion phase angle as the phase angle of the output current and output voltage to the heating coil 26, and stops the increase of the inverse conversion phase angle when the loss of a switching element constituting the inverse converter 18 reaches a predetermined permissible value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
