PURPOSE: Powdered lotus leaf tea and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to obtain excellent taste and flavor of lotus leaves and to have high solubility to water by manufacturing the powdered lotus leaf tea using the lotus leaves including downy hair. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing powdered lotus leaf tea comprises the following steps: standing lotus leaves having downy hair in a container, pouring water into the container, and staying the container in shade for 4-8 hours; parboiling the lotus leaves in salt water for 30 seconds-1 minutes; removing moisture from the preboiled lotus leaves and freezing the lotus leaves in a freezer of (-)10°C-(-)30°C for 10-20 days; naturally drying the frozen lotus leaves to have a water content of 3-10 weight%; pulverizing the dried lotus leaves; and packing the pulverized lotus leaves.
