PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect the amount of inclination of a document, while reducing damage to the document.SOLUTION: There is provided an image forming apparatus (U1) comprising: a first detection member (17) that is arranged on the upstream side of an inclination correction member (18) and downstream side of a storage part (U1a1); a second detection member (19) that is arranged on the downstream side of the inclination correction member (18) and upstream side of a reading position (P1) and detects the width of a document; and inclination amount measurement means (C15) that, when the inclination is corrected, measures the amount of inclination (sk1) of the document on the basis of a period of time (t2) from when the inclination correction member (18) starts rotation to when the second detection member (19) detects a document, and when the inclination of the document is not corrected, measures the amount of inclination (sk1) of the document on the basis of a period of time (t2') from when the first detection member (17) detects the document to when the second detection member (19) detects the document.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
