Embodiments of the present invention provide a message processing method and a related device during PPPoE authentication. In a broadcast domain where a user terminal is located, there is a first BAS supporting PPPoE and corresponding to a first operator, and in the broadcast domain where the user terminal is located there is also a BAS supporting PPPoE and corresponding to a second operator. The method includes: the first BAS receives a PADI message sent from the user terminal; the first BAS does not transmit a PADO message to the user terminal within pre-set time when it is determined that the number of authentication failures for the user terminal on the first BAS is greater than a pre-set threshold. The technical solutions of the embodiments of the present invention solve the problem that the user terminal cannot be accessed, which is caused by establishing a session between the user terminal and the first BAS. |
