PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object detection device that is able to capture a state of the object more accurately.SOLUTION: An object detection device comprises: an area calculating part 31 configured to calculate an occupying image area of an object from an image shown by a wide angle camera 2; an object position calculating part 32 configured to calculate the relative position of the object based on a position in an image of the occupying image area; a movement amount calculating part 33 configured to calculate a driving time, which is the time taken to turn a drive camera 4 to the object, from the relative position and the driving speed of the drive camera 4, and configured to calculate an estimated amount of movement of the object, which is taken for the drive camera 4 to capture the object, based on the calculated driving time and a vehicle speed (a steering angle is taken into consideration during traveling along a curve); and a captured position specifying part 34 configured to specify the position captured by the drive camera 4, based on the relative position and the estimated amount of movement. |
