摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for regenerating a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter), which can restrain fuel consumption from being increased by DPF regeneration treatment, by setting a computed point of time as a point of time of the completion of the regeneration treatment after computing the point of time when an accumulated PM elimination quantity reaches a PM deposit quantity at the start of regeneration, according to each preset PM deposit quantity and through the use of a database on the PM elimination quantity or a PM burning rate for each filter temperature, while focusing attention on the dependence of the PM burning rate during the regeneration treatment on both of the PM deposit quantity and the filter temperature, in the DPF regeneration treatment of an exhaust emission control system, and the exhaust emission control system.SOLUTION: In DPF regeneration control, the PM elimination quantities within a preset period of time at the measured and estimated filter temperature are computed on the basis of the database on the PM burning rate or the PM elimination quantity; the computed PM elimination quantities are accumulated; the accumulated PM elimination quantity of PM burned and eliminated from the start of the regeneration control is computed; and the regeneration control is completed after the accumulated PM elimination quantity reaches the PM deposit quantity estimated at the start of the regeneration control.
