摘要 This disclosure relates to diagnosing or evaluating the state of vascular or cardiac health of a subject by detecting alterations in the microRNA and/or iso-microRNA profile contained in a sample derived from the subject. Typically, the sample is derived from blood such as a plasma sample or portions further isolated therefrom. In certain embodiments, the sample is plasma from which microvesicles have been removed or the sample is enriched with blood derived microvesicles.
