<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical parking device by which trays can be delivered and received between a storage chamber of a first row and a storage chamber outside the first row without the need for a special device. <P>SOLUTION: The mechanical parking device includes a plurality of storage chambers 3 arranged in a plurality of rows including the inner row adjacent to a conveyance passage 1 as a first row. Trays 2 are arranged in each of the storage chambers 3. A tray transfer mechanism for delivering and receiving the trays between a conveying carriage 4 and each of the storage chambers is provided with: a tray transfer device 6 which is mounted on the conveying carriage and is provided with an engaging member 61 engageable with an engaged part mounted on the tray, and a drive means 62 driving the engaging member; connecting means 7 mounted respectively on the trays to connect the mutually adjacent trays in the storage chambers in the first row and the storage chamber outside the storage chamber in the first row; and releasing means 8 mounted on the conveying carriage to release the connection by the connecting means between the trays before finishing paying-out operation of the tray from the storage chambers in the first row to the conveying carriage by the tray transfer device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
