PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the resonance of a countershaft as a part of a driving force distributing mechanism. SOLUTION: This differential device comprises a differential mechanism 5 for distributing the driving force of an engine to the axle shaft 65, 67 sides through the output gears 61, 63, a transmission mechanism 26, and a driving force distributing mechanism 7 comprising the clutches 27, 29, a controller for opening and closing the clutches 27, 29 through the actuators 31, 33, and a countershaft 9 connected with the axle shafts 65, 67 through the transmission mechanism 26, for increasing and decreasing the driving force between the axle shafts 65, 67, and a spring constant of the countershaft 9 is adjusted so that the resonance point of the countershaft 9 is lowered to be less than the rotational speed range corresponding to a specific travelling speed range of a vehicle.
