PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record information for security by a magnetic material in a melt transfer system using a pigment having more excellent light resistance than that of a sublimable dye by providing a thermal transfer recording layer containing at least a colored pigment, a binder resin and the magnetic material on a support. SOLUTION: As a support 2, general sublimable transfer type or a melt transfer type is used. A thermal transfer recording layer 3 is formed of a colored pigment, a binder resin and a magnetic material. As the pigment, known various pigments can be used. As the binder, for example, polyamide resin, petroleum resin, polystyrene resin or the like is used solely or in combination of arbitrary two or more types, and a softening point of the resin is preferably 40 to 150 deg.C. As the material, for example, magnetite, ferrite or the like can be used, its mean particle size is regulated to 0.001 to 0.5 μm to give transparency to a magnetic material diffused material. A thickness of the layer 3 is desirably set to 0.2 to 1.0 μm. |
