PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermally meltable ink not requiring a fixing process comprising, for example, applying heat or pressure to a medium to be recorded, capable of contriving to reduce the size of a recording device or simplify the recording device, and capable of preventing the ink from migrating on the back side of the recording medium, because the hardness of a photocurable composition covering the surface of the ink is high to enhance the abrasion resistance of the ink. SOLUTION: This thermally meltable ink is used for an ink jet recording means in which the ink is jetted toward a medium 8 to be recorded to form an image on the medium. The thermally meltable ink comprises a binder 11 comprising a thermally meltable composition, a coloring material dispersed in the binder 11, and a photocurable composition 12. When the ink 10 is fixed to the medium 8, the binder is dispersed in the photocurable composition 12, and the photocurable composition 12 covers the surface of the ink 10. |
