Exhaust pipe for a combustion device comprises a regulating device for adapting the cross-section of the exhaust pipe to different operating states of the combustion device. The regulating device consists of a thin-walled tube (3) of temperature- and condensate-resistant material which is arranged in a pipe section (2) of the exhaust pipe and has a diameter corresponding approximately to the inner diameter of the pipe section. Preferred Features: The thin-walled tube is loosely suspended in a vertical pipe section. The tube is made of plastic and has a wall thickness of about 0.5 mm.
