The process involves selecting a serial number and generating a certificate from the serial number. The serial number and the certificate are scrambled for delivering a usage code. A user number associated to the serial number is selected. The user number is used at the time of generation of the certificate and/or scrambling process, to determine a specific usage for each user number associated to a same serial number. An independent claim is also included for a system for managing a virtual prepaid card.
