PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an SIMD type processor in which a degree of freedom in connection between the processor and an external memory data transfer device is enhanced. SOLUTION: In the SIMD type processor having a global processor 1, a plurality of PEs, and an external input/output port for writing data in registers 20 of the PEs from the external memory data transfer device or reading the data after processing from the registers 20 of the PEs and in which a register 20a incorporated in an optional PE is accessed from the outside by inputting addresses for designating each PE, a plurality of post registers 12 which are allocated to addresses other than PE specification in the global processor 1 and can be accessed from the outside are provided and the data is transferred between the global processor 1 and the external memory transfer device via the external input/output port by accessing the post registers 12.
