PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus having a communication function and a web server function which realizes a comfortable communication environment by resolving various problems about communication connection between the web server and a communication terminal. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus 11 has the communication function and the web server function and is capable of browsing and photographing images preserved in a communication terminal 13 connected with the imaging apparatus 11 through a communication network 12 and is provided with a web server activation notifying means for notifying the communication terminal 13 of a URL of the web server by mail in accordance with activation of the web server and a connection means with which the communication terminal 13 which has received the mail connects to the web server by processing according to the URL.
