PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellular telephone device and electronic mail (email) content display method that open an important email and display the contents just after the reception when the email is received. SOLUTION: The cellular telephone device has displaying means 42 for displaying the contents of the email, storing means 40 for storing determination conditions for importance determination of the received email, and controlling means 36 for determining the importance of the email according to the determination conditions, and opening the important email and displaying the contents on the displaying means 42 just after the email reception.
