PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container used in a stick method and for sampling excreted fecal matter to surely preserve and transport the same. SOLUTION: The fecal matter sampling and preserving container is composed of a recovery tube 1, having an opening part 4 thrust in evacuated fecal matter to sample naturally evacuated fecal matter and storing the sampled excreted fecal matter and a preserving liquid, an outer cylinder 2 having an opening part 5 in which the recovery tube 1 is inserted and having a mole screw part 6 provided in the vicinity of the opening part 5 and a cap 3, having the female screw part 7 threaded with the mole screw part 6 of the outer cylinder 2 and the recessed part 8 fitted in the opening part 4 of the recovery tube which is under pressure.
