<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging container which is provided with a high fracture limit, is free from a scratch and contamination on the inside face of the container and is free from the danger of beverage leakage, and to provide its production method. <P>SOLUTION: This packaging container 1 is made of an aluminum alloy plate, and is provided with a cylindrical can body part 2 with a bottom, a neck part 3 which is connected to the body part 2 and whose outer diameter is smaller than the maximum outer diameter D<SB>1</SB>of the can body part 2, and an opening part 4 formed on the end of the neck part 3.
