PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inhibitor of an induction type nitric oxide synthase having slight adverse effects and easily ingestible and to provide a food and drink having inhibitory functions for the induction type nitric oxide synthase.

SOLUTION: The inhibitor of the induction type nitric oxide synthase comprises an olive fruit polyphenol as an active ingredient. The food and drink is obtained by adding the olive fruit polyphenol exhibiting the inhibitory functions for the induction type nitric oxide synthase.
