<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immunoactivity-enhancing ingredient obtained from specific tree components, having immunoactivity-enhancing effect and slight in side effects, and to provide foods/drinks and quasi-drugs each containing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The immunoactivity-enhancing ingredient comprises a water-soluble extract of the components of the trees selected from Gingko leaves, mulberry root bark, cinnamon tree, Acer nikoense Maximowicz, Japanese red pine, Phellodendri Corex, Aralia elata and magnolia bark. Particularly, this ingredient is obtained by extracting these components under specific conditions by boiling in hot water followed by dilution in such a dilution ratio that the most effective NK (natural killer) cell activity is recognized.
