<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system in which the function of a device leading from a high pressure tank to a fuel cell is prevented from deteriorating due to low temperatures during an operation under an environment at low temperatures. <P>SOLUTION: A temperature sensor T1 detecting the temperature of fuel discharged from the high pressure tank 11 is provided on the downstream side of an shut-off valve 12. When a control apparatus 30A decides that the gas temperature is lower than the preset temperature for starting output restriction, it restrains an output from a fuel cell FC based on a predetermined map.
