<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve productivity and quality of braze welding for steel, in a TIG braze welding method for uncoated and/or zinc coated carbon steel using consumable welding wire. <P>SOLUTION: In the method to perform TIG braze welding on one or more of steel workpieces using a TIG welding torch, consumable welding wire and shield gases, a ternary gas mixture consisting of argon, helium and hydrogen is used, which contains not more than 5 vol% of helium, not more than 1 vol% of hydrogen and argon for the balance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
