<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a user's labor hour necessary for searching a desired device from a plurality of devices displayed, by displaying only the desired device designated by the user. <P>SOLUTION: Identification information of the user who performs search is shared by the host unit and the device unit, and when a search from the user having the identification information is accepted, the device unit responds thereto.
