PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driver program with which the processing of a print request to a printer is executed by a host device and which can accurately perform ground processing as to printing of image data scanned in color mode. SOLUTION: When data of an object to be printed are data obtained by scanning a document in color mode, the driver program which makes the host device perform processing for generating image data for a printer as to the data of the object to be printed and transmit the generated image data to the printer divides image data of one generated page for the printer into a plurality areas, determines a part corresponding to a ground part of the page of the document based upon density distributions by the areas, changes image data of the determined part into data representing a specific color, and transmits the image data after change to the printer.
