A backlight unit is provided to remove the variation of tube current even without an additive circuit, thereby improving the uniformity of brightness, by connecting input winding wires of two or more input transformers in series. A plurality of fluorescent lamps(40) are disposed above a cover bottom(41). Both ends of each fluorescent lamp are arranged in the same direction. An inverter PCB(43) is formed at one side of the cover bottom. A plurality of transformers(42) are formed on the inverter PCB. Input winding wires of at least two transformers are connected in series to supply an electric power to both ends of each fluorescent lamp. |
