An apparatus and a method for removing dust in a backlight unit are provided to improve efficiency of removing impurities such as dust adhering onto a sheet of the backlight unit, by performing dust removing work within a clean room cut off from the outside. A sheet supply unit(100) elevates a loading plate by a height of one sheet when the sheets loaded on the loading plate are conveyed one by one. A first conveyance unit conveys the sheets to a second conveyance unit. The second conveyance unit makes the sheets pass through a clean room(510), and conveys the impurities moved-sheets to the exit side. An air knife, an ionizer, and a clean roller remove the dust remaining on the sheet within the clean room. A loading unit(700) loads the impurities moved-sheets, which are conveyed by the second conveyance unit, at the exit side. |
