A light emitting diode illuminator and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to increase reliability by effectively radiating heat generated from a chip-type LED by using a wiring board as a heat emission board. In a light emitting diode illuminator, first and second wiring boards(20,30) reflect light in a surface. A lower electrode of a chip-type LED(10) is directly bonded with an upper side of the first wiring board(20). A wire(40) electrically connects the second wiring board(30) with an upper electrode of the chip-type LED(10). An optical lens(50) is placed on an upper part of the first and second wiring boards(20,30) and at a lateral side and an upper front side of the chip-type LED(10), wherein an upper side of the optical lens(50) is flat. |
