NEW CHITINASE ORIGINATED FROM MONOCHAMUS ALTERNATUS

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new chitinase gene as a component of a biocidal agent effective to a pest and being imparted from the exterior of a plant body, and to provide a protein encoded by the gene, and a method for producing a chitinase.

SOLUTION: The new chitinase gene originated from Monochamus alternatus which is an insect vector of a pine weevil, the protein encoded by the gene, and the method for producing the chitinase are provided.
