PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an MR apparatus whose reliability is high and to obtain a control method for a cooling device for a superconducting magnet in an MR apparatus. SOLUTION: An air-cooled compression apparatus 7 for a cooling device 4 which cools liquid helium (a coolant) 8 for a superconducting magnet 5 is installed outdoors. Either the stop of the fan 11 of the air-cooled compression apparatus 7 or the reverse of the fan 11 is performed either perioctically or when the cooling efficiency of the cooling device 4 is lowered. Thereby, it is not required to install a cooling facility which is used to cool heat radiated from the cooling device 4, and an MR apparatus which is low-cost and space- saving can be realized. |
