<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball capable of reducing the influence of wind in performing flight by matching a ball hitting direction with the rotary axis of the golf ball through the use of wind pressure on the wall surfaces of dimples during parabolic flight, while starting falling at the point of time when a ball speed and backspin are rapidly reduced after the ball reaches the highest point with lift force by giving backspin to the golf ball immediately after the ball is shot. <P>SOLUTION: The golf ball 3 includes the dimples 4 with circular peripheral edges on the substantially whole surface of the golf ball. The gold ball is molded by arranging the wall surfaces 6 reaching deep bottoms by partially suspending downward the peripheral edges of the dimples, and allowing the bottom surfaces 7, which gradually shallow upward from the deep bottoms toward the peripheral edges opposing to the wall surfaces, to coincide with the peripheral edges of the dimples on the opposite side of the deep bottoms. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
