The electrostatic filter for the separation of dust particles has collecting electrodes (3-7) fixed in a housing (2) through which the gas flows and discharge electrodes (16-20) arranged parallel to them and held stretched between insulators (29, 30). For the cleaning of the collecting electrodes (3-7), a cleaning equipment (33) is fixed to a cable (28) having the discharge electrodes (16-20), which can be moved along the surface of the collecting electrodes to be cleaned by means of a pulling device (30-32) having a coiling drum (26, 27).
