PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visible light communication monitoring apparatus automatically detecting abnormality of a constituent device of a visible light communication device without stopping the device.

SOLUTION: The visible light communication monitoring device 20 applied to the visible light communication device 10 has a monitoring controller 21 which is connected to the visible light communication device 10 and automatically detects abnormality occurrence to the constituent device of the visible light communication device 10, based upon pieces A to D of digital information extracted from the visible light communication device 10.
