PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover which reduces a possibility that liquid leaks to an outside.SOLUTION: A cover is used for a liquid storing vessel: in which at least a portion is exposed of a detecting member used in optically detecting a liquid amount inside a liquid storing part or presence/absence of liquid inside the liquid storing part; in which a liquid supply part is provided for supplying the liquid to a liquid discharging apparatus in communication with the liquid storing part; in which a first surface is included having a first engaging part on a vessel side disposed between the liquid supply part and the detecting member; and which is mounted to the liquid discharging apparatus. The cover includes: a first engaging part on a cover side to be engaged with the first engaging part on the vessel side in a state where the cover is mounted to the liquid storing vessel; and a cover part for covering the liquid supply part in a state where the cover is mounted to the liquid storing vessel. |
