PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Acetobacter phage detection method and an Acetobacter phage detection kit for detecting the presence or absence of Acetobacter phage in acetic acid fermentation liquid or the condition of Acetobacter phage infection cycle (lysogenic cycle or lytic cycle), with high sensitivity, the method and the kit having excellent simplicity.SOLUTION: By acetic acid fermentation liquid or specimens such as a bacterial cell fraction and culture supernatant fraction of such a fermentation liquid, a phage that is infected with three species of Acetobacter having a particular genome sequence was identified and the genome sequence was determined. By the information of the genome sequence, a primer set with a particular nucleotide sequence that can specifically detect these Acetobacter phages can be designed, and the Acetobacter phage can be detected by methods, such as PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) method.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
