<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly manufacture a wave wound coil in a substantially cylindrical shape in which linear conductors are aligned and arranged by sequentially shaping the linear conductor with a cross-sectional shape having directionality by proper bending processing for the linear conductor. <P>SOLUTION: The coil manufacturing method for manufacturing a wave wound coil in a substantially cylindrical shape by shaping a linear conductor with a cross-sectional shape having directionality includes: a transfer step Pf for transferring a wave conductor as a linear conductor shaped in a substantially rectangular waveform, and having a plurality of straight side portions extending in a wave width direction, one side connecting portions and other side connecting portions for sequentially connecting every other pair of two side portions at respective one side and the other side in a wave width direction; a connection portion bending step P6 for bending a target connecting portion, which is at least one of the one side connecting portions and the other side connecting portions of the wave conductor, at one position thereof to shape the target connecting portion into a substantially V shape so that the side portions may be arranged along a coil circumferential direction and the directions of cross-sectional shapes of the side portions may be in a fixed direction with respect to a coil radial direction; and a winding step P7 for winding the wave conductor subjected to bending processing on a bobbin. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
