PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil strainer for vehicle in which some small air bubbles are collected around an intake cylinder to form large air bubbles and their intake at an intake cylinder is restricted.SOLUTION: An oil strainer 12 for a vehicle is constituted in such a way that a slant surface facing upwardly as it is away from an outer circumferential surface of an intake cylinder 24 is arranged at a lower surface 22 of a bottom wall part 16 due to presence of an annular slant part 28 around the intake cylinder 24 and its outer circumferential edge 28a or a first slant groove 30a, a second slant groove 30b, a third slant groove 30c, a fourth slant groove 30d and a fifth slant groove 30e having one-end near the outer circumferential edge part, so that air bubbles mixed in oil around the intake cylinder 24 are moved away from the outer circumferential surface of the intake cylinder 24 under an action of the slant surfaces at the bottom wall part 16 due to their buoyancy. Due to this action, some small air bubbles are gathered around the intake cylinder 24 of the oil strainer 12 to form large air bubbles and the larger bubbles are restricted against intake by the intake cylinder 24 and occurrence of hydraulic pressure vibration at the oil strainer 12 for a vehicle and noise are restricted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
