The system provides a user, via a client computer, information relating to data analysed about optimal environmental conditions, particularly positions for window coverings. This allows the user to adjust the position of the shades or other systems, such as HVAC, through manual means. This can save money as the building automation system BMS may only needs to partially control the environment. The analysis can be done by developing a shadow and reflectance model based on a modelled building position and surrounding environment. It can also be based on the circadian rhythms of the occupants, or on a measured and predicted radiation, or a solar load on the glass and a stand management routine. |
