PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mount adapter capable of preventing the damage of a shutter when the mount adapter is removed from a camera body and to provide a camera system.SOLUTION: A mount adapter 1 including a first lens mount part 13 which can be attached to a first system lens mount 25 provided in a camera body 2 and a second lens mount part 14 to which an interchangeable lens 3 having a second system lens mount 35 can be attached includes a shutter mechanism 11 which is operable for opening/closing an internal aperture of the mount adapter 1. The shutter mechanism 11 can hold the internal aperture in a semi-opened state, in such a state that the mount adapter 1 is attached to the camera body 2 and in such a state that the mount adapter 1 is removed from the camera body 2. |
