PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle air conditioner capable of more appropriately reflecting passenger's intention.SOLUTION: A vehicle air conditioner 1 includes: a refrigeration cycle 100 loaded in a vehicle including an idling stop mechanism for stopping an engine 10 according to predetermined stop conditions, and including a compressor 110 driven by the engine 10; detection means 30 for detecting a cabin temperature; adjustment means 40 for allowing a passenger to arbitrarily adjust a cabin setting temperature; and control means 50 for controlling the compressor 110. The control means 50 has a threshold preset for the cabin setting temperature. If the cabin temperature is higher than the threshold, the control means 50 restricts the idling stop mechanism from stopping the engine 10. The threshold increases as the cabin setting temperature increases. A degree of increase of the threshold in a low temperature range of the cabin setting temperature is larger than that in an intermediate temperature range continuous to the low temperature range. |
