PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent generation of an abnormal sound in a forging press by cooling a brake device properly.SOLUTION: A forging press 10 comprises: a brake device 12 that stops a slide 1 by stopping rotation of a crank shaft 4; a brake cooling device 13 that cools the brake device 12 by circulating a refrigerant in the brake device 12; and an abnormal-sound sensor 20 that detects an abnormal sound generated by the brake device 12. A control device 30 controls the brake cooling device 13 according to the abnormal sound detected by the abnormal-sound sensor 20. |
