PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitor assembly which is thermally and mechanically stable even in a high-temperature environment.SOLUTION: A capacitor assembly 100 comprises: a housing 122; a capacitor element 120; and a polymer binder 197. The capacitor element is enclosed in the housing and hermetically sealed in a gaseous atmosphere including an inert gas, whereby the quantity of oxygen and moisture supplied to a solid electrolyte of the capacitor are limited to achieve the thermal stability thereof. The polymer binder is used, which is arranged adjacently to one or more surfaces (a top surface 181 and a rear surface 177) of the capacitor element and put in contact therewith in order to impart a good mechanical stability to the capacitor assembly. It is preferred that the polymer binder is not normally conductive. The strength and rigidity of the polymer binder help the capacitor element to well withstand a vibration force which the capacitor element suffers in use without causing delamination. Thus, the capacitor assembly is allowed to work preferably in an extreme condition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
