<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Al-containing heat resistant ferritic stainless steel for a fuel cell which has good oxidation resistance and also creep fracture life by prescribing the solid solution conditions of Ti and Nb in the steel, and to provide a method for producing the Al-containing heat resistant ferritic stainless steel. <P>SOLUTION: The Al-containing heat resistant ferritic stainless steel for a fuel cell has a composition containing, by mass, <0.02% C, >0.15 to 0.7% Si, ≤0.3% Mn, ≤0.035% P, ≤0.003% S, 13 to 20% Cr, 1.5 to 6% Al, ≤0.02% N, 0.03 to 0.5% Ti, ≤0.6% Nb, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, and in which, provided that a solid solution Ti content in the steel is defined as [Ti] and a solid solution Nb content is defined as [Nb], inequality (a): 0≤[Ti]≤[Nb]+0.05, 0<[Nb]≤0.6 is satisfied in the case of 13≤Cr≤16, and inequality (b): 0≤[Ti]≤1/2×[Nb]+0.15, 0<[Nb]≤0.6 is satisfied in the case of 16<Cr≤20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
