PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly secure a pre-load at assembling work for a bearing. SOLUTION: In a pre-load applying device of a bearing when calking work is started by gradually lowering a calking die of a swinging type calking device, a pre-load is applied to a combinational bearing from a certain time 10, and rotational torque T changes. When its change width reaches a preset prescribed width Δ, it is judged that the pre-load reaches a prescribed value, and calking work is finished. Therefore, a pre-load can be properly adjusted at calking work time of the combinational bearing.
