PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electrolyte having a low impedance and a high performance by including specified dicarboxylic acid or its quaternary ammonium salt as a solute. SOLUTION: Dicarboxylic acid expressed by a formula is obtained by allowing a maleic anhydride to have a thermal reaction in cumene, ethylbenzene, toluene, xylene or a mixed solvent of these under the existence of an organic peroxide and then hydrolyzing the obtained acid anhydride and cooling it and finally filtering deposited dircarboxylic acid. The dicarboxlic acid or its quaternary ammonium salt of an aliphatic alkyl group such as tetramethyl ammonium thus prepared is included as a solute. In the formula, X is a 2-phenylproplyl group, phenylethyl group, o-methylbenzyl group, m-methylbenzyl group, or p- methylbenzyl group. |
