The gas turbine rotor blade (3) has bristles (47) on the blade tip (11) extending along the tip edge (12). The bristles are installed on a carrier (45) which is inserted in a slot formed by a hook profile (41) and locked in place by welding. The hook profile is designed so that it absorbs the greater part of the forces arising by brushing of the bristles on a guide ring (31) during rotation of the rotor blade. The bristles consist of wire. An Independent claim is included for a gas turbine equipped with the proposed rotor blade.
