For transmitting a message in a communication device (31), images are stored in a memory of the communication device (31), thus forming a graphics library. Telephone numbers are recorded in a memory of the telecommunication device (31). A transmission operation mode begins as a response to selecting a respective function label from a menu-formed user interface of the telecommunication device (31) and approving this choice by pressing a selecting key. The contents of the graphics library are scanned as a response to the user pressing a key, showing the scanned images in a display. When a certain image appears on said display, the transmission of a message to a recorded telephone number is initiated as a response to pressing a call starting key. <IMAGE>
