PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radius end mill and a manufacturing method of the radius end mill capable of improving the roughness of a ground surface and the durability and manufactured at low cost. SOLUTION: The grinding of flanks 6a-6d is continuously executed in a single process. For example, the flank 6a is ground by bringing the outer circumferential face of a grinding wheel rotated around the shaft core into slide contact with a portion, or the flank 6a, and continuously moving the grinding wheel from the portion, or the flank 6a, of a bottom blade 7a to a portion, or the flank 6a, of an outer circumferential blade 5a. This method, for example, smoothly connects a connecting part between the flank 6a of the bottom blade 7a and the flank 6a of the corner R blade 8a to suppress a step form being formed in the connecting part. As a result, this method can avoid the following cases of conventional one that the step forms a streak on the grounded surface to deteriorate the surface roughness and the friction is accelerated using the step as a starting point to lower of the durability.
